This painting continues my exploration of the theme of painting paint itself. It highlights Odd Nerdrum’s limited palette, which starkly contrasts with the broader palette I used during art school. Featuring only red, yellow, black, and white, this palette is inspired by the techniques of Rembrandt, showcasing the simplicity and depth achievable with a restrained selection of colours.
