This window is from one of the bedrooms in Norway where I studied painting with Odd Nerdrum. I was continually captivated by the unique quality of light in Norway, especially during the months when it was scarce. The way the light filtered through the delicate lace covering the small window in the stone wall created a compelling interplay of tonal and textural contrasts.
